During their summer break, they will join King Charles, Queen Camilla, and other royals. At 75, King Charles is expected to lead discussions about the royal family’s direction, including public perceptions of their role. As heir to the throne, Prince William will play a key part in these talks.
William is increasingly focused on maintaining the relevance of the Royal Family, especially as he faces significant responsibilities. Sources say the royal family intends to consider the next decade, especially in the absence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The ongoing rift between William and Harry has not been resolved despite Harry’s visit to the UK, adding to the pressure on William at this challenging time. Fortunately, he has strong support from the wider royal family.
This meeting comes at a time when fewer royals are actively working, raising concerns about the older members of the monarchy. With Camilla at 76 and Princess Anne at 73, and younger royals like Prince Edward and Sophie in their 60s, the need for change is clear.
