Meghan Markle has once again given Megyn Kelly cause for concern, and this time it’s because she refers to Prince Harry as “her husband.”
On her most recent podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show, American media expert Megyn Kelly blasted Markle and said she had had enough.
She said, “We get it, you bagged the gorilla,” during the Tuesday show.
“You got the big bear, and you want the rest of us to know it,” I’m happy to hear.
The comments were in response to the latest episode of Markle’s own podcast, Archetypes, when she said that her husband was ‘great’ with contributing equally to parenting.
‘Oh, my husband? Oh, he’s great,’ she said.
‘[He] gets [Archie] downstairs’, while she added she would make breakfast for the family.
‘It’s very important to me. I love doing it.’
With Christopher Anderson, author of The King: The Life of Charles III, Kelly’s guest on the program, the pair also discussed claims made in the Oprah interview, including a part where Markle said she never looked up the Royal family prior to her relationship.
Anderson claimed that, like ‘every other young woman’, she knew exactly who they were.
‘Let’s get real, there’s always that eligible bachelor,’ Kelly agreed.
‘For my age, it was JFK Jr., for her age it was Prince Harry.’
Harry has previously called the book a ‘truthful and wholly accurate’ portrait of his life – the prospect of which has sent shockwaves through the royal establishment.
Prince Harry is viewed as a “threat to the crown” from some of those inside the establishment, according to royal author and journalist Omid Scobie.
Mr Scobie has been referred to as Meghan Markle’s mouthpiece for his pro-Sussex writing, and his latest release Endgame made some controversial claims when it was published in November last year.
Amongst them is that the author apparently knew the real reason why Harry wanted to leave, and it was to do with his personal freedom.
In the book Mr Scobie writes: “These are probably sad realisations that will be had far too late in the journey. In the eyes of some within the institution, Harry is a threat to the crown. His freedom to exert his own thinking outside of the confines of the institution has made him the enemy.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their intentions to leave the Firm in January 2020, later making their home in Montecito in Meghan’s home state of California.
