Prince William, Kate Middleton hint at ‘exciting’ new venture after disclosure of his whopping salary

Prince William and Catherine Plan New Project as They Navigate Royal Finances

According to HELLO Magazine, Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, are gearing up to launch an exciting new project later this year. This initiative will build on their previous work, particularly the Heads Together campaign they started in 2016, and aims to enhance mental health care in rural areas.

In related financial news, Prince William received $30 million for the fiscal year 2023–2024 from the Duchy of Cornwall, as reported by its Integrated Annual Report. This sizable amount, a gift from King Charles III, highlights the Duchy’s continued strong performance.

As a devoted soccer fan, Prince William has also been appointed Patron of the Football Association (FA), a role previously held by Queen Elizabeth II. This appointment will support the public, charitable, and personal needs of Prince William, Catherine, and their three children.

Royal Finances and Taxes

Prince William’s income comes from the Duchy of Cornwall, a historic estate established by King Edward III in 1337. This estate, valued at over $1 billion, includes farms, land, and other assets. It spans 130,000 acres across 23 counties in England and Wales. Although Prince William must pay income tax on his Duchy earnings, he can deduct business-related expenses. For the last fiscal year, the estate generated $29 million, with William inheriting the estate mid-year. He invested nearly $7.4 million of his share into a house, while the estate retained over $8.67 million for working capital purposes.

Payments for King Charles and Prince Harry

King Charles got $14.225 million not long ago, and Prince Harry will get $8.5 million on September 15, his 40th birthday. The Queen Mother, his late great-grandmother, set up a $90 million trust fund in 2002 that gave him this money. There are reports that Harry may have more money than William.
