King Charles’s recent comments during a public visit dashed the hopes of some royal fans who wanted to see Prince Harry return to Britain as a member of the Royal Family.
Prince Harry stepped back from his role as a working royal in 2020, along with his wife, Meghan Markle. However, there have been rumors that he might come back as the number of working royals has decreased.
After his cancer diagnosis, the King temporarily reduced his public duties but returned to full-time work within a few months. Meanwhile, the Princess of Wales is gradually re-entering public life following her chemotherapy treatment.
As both Charles and Catherine focused on their health and stepped back from royal responsibilities, speculation arose that Harry might be asked to return to help fill the gap.
Reports claimed that Harry was open to a temporary return despite his difficult relationship with the King, but this never materialised.
The pair are understood to have had a troubled relationship since the Duke of Sussex decided to step back from his role.
