Princess Anne Steps Up During King Charles and Princess Kate’s Absence

Princess Anne has received widespread praise for increasing her workload while King Charles and Princess Kate have been recovering from health issues. She has taken on a third of all royal engagements so far this year, marking a two percent increase compared to last year.

The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence are currently on a royal tour in Canada, having already visited Sri Lanka and Namibia earlier this year. Social media has been abuzz with admiration for Anne’s dedication, with many noting her steadfast commitment to duty.

Commenting on her work ethic, one admirer wrote, “I didn’t think I could like or respect the Princess Royal any more than I already did. What an amazing woman she is.” Another added, “This is duty and sibling loyalty. Pity some don’t understand.” A third simply stated, “Thank God for The Princess Royal!”

Princess Anne, at 73, continues to demonstrate no signs of slowing down, having completed 172 engagements by the end of April this year, surpassing her record from the same period in 2023. She remains one of the most active members of the royal family, particularly amidst recent health concerns and adjustments to the monarchy.

Alongside Anne, Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie have also increased their royal engagements significantly, supporting the monarchy during this period of transition.
